Chromatics

Chromatics were an American band formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2021, known for evolving from early punk and garage roots into a synth-driven, nocturnal sound that blends Italo disco, dream pop, and noir electronics. Their music often features slow tempos, shimmering vintage synths, sparse drum machines, and detached, sultry vocals, producing a cinematic and melancholic atmosphere. Associated with the Italians Do It Better label, they became noted for a retro-futurist aesthetic and carefully produced, atmospheric albums.
