Chet Baker

Chet Baker was an American jazz trumpeter and singer known for a soft, lyrical trumpet tone and an intimate, understated vocal style. Associated with West Coast cool jazz, his playing emphasized melodic phrasing, relaxed tempos, and spare accompaniment, often favoring ballads and standards. He was active in the mid 20th century and died in 1988.
