Charlie Rich

Charlie Rich was an American singer-songwriter who blended country with jazz, blues, rockabilly, and pop influences. He was known for a warm, mellow baritone and for polished, genre-crossing arrangements that helped introduce a smoother, more pop-oriented sound into country music. Active from the 1950s through the 1970s, he recorded in a variety of styles and remained a distinctive voice in American country and popular music before his death in 1995.
