Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band

Charles Wright & the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band was a Los Angeles-based ensemble led by Charles Wright, active from 1967 to 1972. Their sound fused funk, soul and R&B, marked by tight horn arrangements, prominent rhythm sections, and danceable grooves, and they are a notable example of late 1960s West Coast funk and groove-oriented soul.
