Celia Cruz

Celia Cruz was a Cuban-born singer known for her powerful voice and exuberant stage presence, closely associated with Afro-Cuban musical traditions and with salsa and son styles. She spent much of her career performing with Cuban orchestras and later with Latin bands in the United States, remaining an influential presence in Latin popular music through the mid and late 20th century until her death in 2003.
