C.W. McCall

C.W. McCall was the stage name of Bill Fries, a US performer who, with collaborator Chip Davis, created a country-tinged, storytelling persona rooted in trucker culture. His recordings mixed country instrumentation, spoken-word narration, and humorous, cinematic narratives about life on the road, and the character became closely associated with 1970s CB radio and trucking themes in popular culture.
