Brinsley Schwarz

Brinsley Schwarz was a British band active from 1969 to 1975, associated with the pub rock movement. Their sound combined country rock, rhythm and blues, and melodic pop, with an emphasis on loose, roots-oriented arrangements and live performance. The lineup included guitarist Brinsley Schwarz and bassist-singer Nick Lowe, and the group is often linked with the early 1970s back-to-basics scene in the UK that preceded punk and new wave.
