BOREDOMS

BOREDOMS is a Japanese experimental rock band formed in Osaka in 1986 and led by vocalist and visual artist Yamantaka Eye. The group started out with noisy, hardcore-influenced sound and gradually moved toward more experimental and psychedelic approaches, emphasizing dense layers of sound, samplers, extended percussion, and polyrhythmic, tribal-influenced drumming. They are noted for adventurous live performances and large-scale percussion projects that foreground rhythm and collective improvisation.
