Avengers

Avengers are a San Francisco punk band formed in 1977 and fronted by singer Penelope Houston. Their music pairs the raw intensity of late 1970s punk with melodic hooks and direct, often politically charged lyrics, reflecting the Bay Area scene of the time. Their initial run was brief, but they remain associated with the early West Coast punk sound and with Houston's distinctive vocals.
