Audioslave

Audioslave was an American rock supergroup formed in 2001 and active until 2007, bringing together vocalist Chris Cornell with guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk. Their music blended hard rock and alternative rock, featuring Cornell's wide-ranging, soulful vocals over Morello's distinctive, effects-driven guitar and a heavy, groove-oriented rhythm section. The band was notable for combining stylistic elements from 1970s-style rock with the members' 1990s alternative and rap-rock backgrounds.
