Aswad

Aswad is a British reggae band formed in London in 1975. Their music blends roots reggae with elements of lovers rock, soul, and pop, marked by warm vocal harmonies, prominent horn lines, dub-influenced rhythms, and polished production. Over several decades the group has been a steady presence in the UK reggae scene, evolving its sound while remaining grounded in reggae traditions, with early members including Brinsley Forde, Angus Gaye, and Tony Gad.
