Arab Strap

Arab Strap are a Scottish band formed in 1995 by Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. Their music mixes indie rock and slowcore with touches of folk and electronica, often built around Middleton's textured guitar work and Moffat's deadpan, spoken-word vocal delivery. Lyrics tend to be frank and intimate, addressing relationships, nightlife, and everyday urban life. They emerged from the Glasgow indie scene and released material on the Chemikal Underground label.
