Altered Images

Altered Images were a Scottish new wave band formed in 1979 and active through the early 1980s, fronted by singer Clare Grogan. Their sound blended post-punk energy with bright, melodic pop and synth textures, combining jangly guitars, pop hooks, and an upbeat vocal delivery. They are associated with the UK new wave and early synth-pop period and are remembered for a playful, accessible approach that bridged underground and mainstream pop styles.
