13th Floor Elevators

13th Floor Elevators was a US psychedelic rock band formed in 1965 and active through 1969. They blended garage rock, blues, and folk elements into a raw, trippy sound marked by Roky Erickson's distinctive vocals and Tommy Hall's use of an electric jug, which added a buzzing, reedy texture. The group is regarded as an early example of psychedelic rock and is noted for its influence on later psychedelic and garage revival scenes.
