World Party

World Party is a British band formed in 1986 by Karl Wallinger. The project blends pop rock, folk rock, and 1960s-influenced melodic songwriting into studio-centered arrangements, with Wallinger as the principal songwriter and multi-instrumentalist and a rotating cast for live performances. The sound combines layered production and acoustic elements with a singer-songwriter approach and occasional psychedelic touches.
