Void

Void were a short-lived American hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C., active from 1979 to 1983. Their sound blended rapid, aggressive hardcore with dissonant, metallic guitar textures and chaotic, shouted vocals, often in abrupt, short songs. Associated with the early D.C. scene, they are noted for pushing punk toward a heavier, more abrasive edge and for a confrontational live presence.
