Tinariwen

Tinariwen is a Tuareg-led band from Mali, formed in 1982, known for a guitar-driven sound that blends traditional Tuareg melodies and rhythms with blues and rock influences. Their music often features layered electric guitars, steady trance-like grooves, and call-and-response vocals sung in Tamasheq, with lyrics that reflect desert life, exile, and political experience. They are widely recognized for shaping contemporary Saharan desert music and bringing Tuareg musical expression to international audiences.
