Three 6 Mafia

Three 6 Mafia is a Memphis hip hop group formed in 1991, noted for dark, bass-heavy production, horrorcore-tinged themes, and hypnotic, chant-like hooks; led by figures such as DJ Paul and Juicy J, their raw, lo-fi early sound and use of drum machine patterns and eerie samples helped shape aspects of Southern hip hop and influenced later crunk and trap production.
