The Incredible String Band

The Incredible String Band were a Scottish psychedelic folk group active from 1966 to 1974. Led by Mike Heron and Robin Williamson, they blended traditional folk with psychedelic and world-music influences, using a wide range of acoustic and non-Western instruments and unconventional song structures. Their eclectic, exploratory approach broadened the sonic possibilities of folk in the late 1960s.
