The Faith

The Faith was a Washington, D.C. hardcore punk band active from 1981 to 1983. Their music paired the urgency and rawness of early hardcore with a stronger melodic sense and introspective lyrical bent, reflecting the DIY ethos of the D.C. scene and helping point toward the more emotionally driven directions some post-hardcore groups later explored.
