The Chameleons

The Chameleons were an English post-punk band formed in 1981 and active until 2003, sometimes billed as The Chameleons UK. They developed a moody, atmospheric sound built on chiming, chorus- and delay-heavy guitars, layered textures and brooding vocals, combining post-punk angularity with expansive melodic arrangements, and their approach is often noted in discussions of later alternative and indie guitar bands.
