The Buckaroos

The Buckaroos were the backing band for Buck Owens and a key exponent of the Bakersfield country sound in the 1960s and 1970s. Their music emphasized Telecaster-driven twang, pedal steel, tight rhythm playing, and close vocal harmonies, with Don Rich playing a prominent role in the band's sound and arrangements. They are often noted for presenting a more electric, stripped-down alternative to the smoother Nashville production of the same era.
