Teena Marie

Teena Marie was an American singer-songwriter whose work spanned R&B, soul, and funk with influences of jazz and rock; she was known for a strong, high-register vocal style, for writing and producing much of her own material, and for collaborations with R&B artists, and she released music on labels including Motown before her death in 2010.
