Talvin Singh is a British musician, producer and tabla player known for blending Indian classical percussion with electronic styles such as drum and bass, trip hop and ambient. His work combines live tabla performance and classical motifs with electronic production and studio textures, and he is commonly associated with the 1990s Asian Underground movement that brought South Asian instruments and rhythms into club and experimental electronic contexts.
