Steve Hillage

Steve Hillage is a British guitarist and songwriter associated with progressive and psychedelic rock. He came to prominence in the early 1970s with groups such as Khan and as a member of Gong, and his solo work blended melodic electric guitar playing with spacey textures and extended instrumental passages. In later decades he moved into electronic and dance-oriented music, collaborating with Miquette Giraudy in the electronic project System 7 and bringing his guitar approach into ambient and techno-influenced contexts.
