Stan Tracey

Stan Tracey (died 2013) was a British jazz pianist and composer known for a modern, hard bop influenced style that combined bluesy phrasing, a percussive touch, and lyrical composition. He was a prominent figure in post-war UK jazz, recording and performing widely as a leader and accompanist and composing notable extended pieces, including a suite inspired by Dylan Thomas's Under Milk Wood.
