Shining

Shining is a Norwegian band formed in 1999, led by saxophonist and vocalist Jørgen Munkeby. Originally rooted in jazz, the group progressively incorporated metal, noise, and electronic elements to create an abrasive, experimental sound that blends free jazz improvisation and prominent saxophone with heavy guitar riffs, complex rhythms, and unconventional song structures. The band is known for pushing boundaries between jazz and extreme music.
