Sepultura

Sepultura is a Brazilian metal band formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte. They started with a raw blend of thrash and death metal and over time broadened their sound to include groove-oriented riffs, industrial textures, hardcore energy, and elements of Brazilian and indigenous rhythms and percussion. Known for aggressive, rhythmic guitar work and dynamic drumming, they are noted for experimenting with world-music influences within a heavy metal framework and for helping bring Brazilian extreme metal to a wider audience.
