Rocket From the Tombs

Rocket From the Tombs is an American proto-punk band formed in Cleveland in 1974. Their sound mixed raw garage rock energy, jagged guitar work, and abrasive vocals in a style that bridged 1960s garage aesthetics and the emerging punk approach. The group was short-lived but helped spawn later projects such as Pere Ubu and the Dead Boys and is often cited as an early influence on the US punk scene.
