Prince Buster

Prince Buster was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and producer who played a central role in the development of ska and early rocksteady. His recordings featured energetic vocals, prominent horn arrangements, and a rhythmic emphasis on the offbeat, with lyrics often drawing on urban Jamaican life and street culture; he was influential on later Jamaican and British musicians. He died in 2016.
