Penguin Cafe Orchestra

Penguin Cafe Orchestra was a British instrumental ensemble led by composer Simon Jeffes, active from 1973 to 1997. They blended elements of folk, classical chamber music, minimalism, and world music into eclectic, melodic instrumental pieces that mixed acoustic and electric instruments and often had a pastoral, whimsical character. The group disbanded after Jeffes's death in 1997.
