Paul Kantner

Paul Kantner was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter best known as a founding member of Jefferson Airplane and later associated with Jefferson Starship. He was a central figure in the 1960s San Francisco psychedelic rock scene, combining folk and rock elements with exploratory, experimental arrangements and lyrics often focused on politics, counterculture and utopian or space-oriented themes. Kantner was known for his rhythm guitar work, distinctive vocal contributions and for leading collaborative, concept-driven projects.
