Patrice Rushen

Patrice Rushen is an American pianist, composer, and singer whose work blends jazz, R&B, funk, and soul. A jazz-trained keyboardist who moved into more R&B and pop-oriented production, she is known for sophisticated harmonies, tight grooves, prominent keyboard playing, and refined arranging. Her career spans studio recordings and live performance from the 1970s onward.
