Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost is a British metal band formed in 1988 in Halifax. Their early work blended death-doom and gothic elements and helped shape what became known as gothic metal. Across a long career they have shifted between heavier metal styles and more melodic, gothic rock and electronic-tinged approaches, with a focus on atmospheric guitars and distinctive vocals.
