Pantera

Pantera is an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 in Texas. They transitioned from early 1980s glam-influenced metal to a heavier, groove-oriented sound marked by downtuned, aggressive guitar riffs, strong rhythmic grooves, and raw, forceful vocals. The best known lineup featured guitarist Dimebag Darrell, vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and drummer Vinnie Paul, and the band is associated with the development of groove metal in the 1990s.
