Michel Berger

Michel Berger (1947–1992) was a French singer-songwriter and composer who helped shape contemporary French pop during the 1970s and 1980s. His music blended piano-centered melodic pop with orchestral touches and modern studio production, and he composed the music for the stage musical Starmania with lyricist Luc Plamondon. Berger also worked as a producer and collaborator, notably with France Gall, and his songs are often noted for their melodic clarity and emotional directness.
