Mark Olson

Mark Olson is an American singer-songwriter best known as a founding member of the Jayhawks; his work blends country, folk, and rock influences into melodic, harmony-rich songs. After leaving the Jayhawks he pursued solo recordings and roots-oriented projects, including collaborations with Victoria Williams and the Original Harmony Ridge Creek Dippers, favoring acoustic arrangements, intimate vocals, and literate, emotionally reflective songwriting associated with the alt-country and Americana traditions.
