Louis "Sabu" Martinez

Louis “Sabu” Martinez (died 1979) was a conga player and percussionist associated with Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz styles. He was known for applying traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms and hand percussion techniques in jazz and ensemble contexts, performing and recording with a range of groups during the mid 20th century.
