Los de Abajo

Los de Abajo is a Mexican band formed in 1992 that blends ska, rock, cumbia, reggae and other Latin and Caribbean rhythms, often built around a prominent brass section and propulsive rhythms. Their music mixes popular and folk influences from Mexico with punk and ska-derived arrangements, and their lyrics frequently address social and political themes. The group's name references Mariano Azuela's novel Los de abajo.
