Kyuss

Kyuss was an American rock band formed in 1987 and active until 1996, rooted in the Palm Desert scene. Their sound combined heavy, down-tuned, riff-driven guitar with spacious, psychedelic textures and blues and metal influences, emphasizing long, groove-based jams and thick, fuzzy tones. The group is often cited as a key influence on what became known as stoner rock or desert rock; core members included singer John Garcia and guitarist Josh Homme.
