Khaled

Khaled, often known as Cheb Khaled, is an Algerian singer-songwriter associated with raï, a popular folk-derived genre from Algeria. His music mixes traditional North African rhythms and melodies with pop and other international influences, characterized by emotive vocals, rhythmic percussion, and often prominent brass or synth arrangements. He is widely recognized for popularizing raï beyond Algeria and frequently records in Algerian Arabic with occasional French and other language elements.
