John Fahey

John Fahey (died 2001) was an American fingerstyle guitarist and composer associated with the American primitive guitar movement; he blended folk and blues fingerpicking with classical and avant-garde elements, used alternate tunings and extended solo forms, and founded the independent label Takoma Records.
