James Ingram

James Ingram was an American singer and songwriter known for a smooth, expressive baritone and a blend of soul, R&B, and pop-oriented adult contemporary styles. Rising to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s, he worked frequently as a session vocalist and collaborator with well-known producers and artists, and his recordings often paired soulful phrasing with lush, mainstream production. He continued to perform and record in later decades and died in 2019.
