Jack Bruce

Jack Bruce (1943–2014) was a Scottish-born musician best known as the bassist, vocalist, and composer for the 1960s rock trio Cream. His style combined rock and blues with strong jazz and classical influences, marked by melodic bass lines, frequent use of fretless and acoustic bass, and a broad vocal range. Beyond Cream he pursued solo work and collaborations that explored jazz fusion and progressive approaches to composition and arrangement.
