Ian Carr

Ian Carr (died 2009) was a British trumpeter, composer, writer and educator known for work in modern jazz and jazz rock fusion. He partnered with saxophonist Don Rendell in the 1960s and later formed the group Nucleus to explore blending jazz improvisation with electric instruments and rock influenced rhythms; he also wrote about jazz and taught, becoming a notable figure in the British jazz scene.
