Hot Tuna

Hot Tuna is an American band formed in 1969 by guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady. They began as an acoustic side project centered on traditional blues and roots material and later moved into electric blues-rock, blending fingerstyle and slide guitar with prominent bass lines. The group is noted for extended live performances and a repertoire that mixes early blues covers with original songs, maintaining a long-running presence in the roots and blues landscape.
