Hot Snakes

Hot Snakes was an American rock band formed in San Diego in 1999 by guitarist John Reis and singer-guitarist Rick Froberg, both previously members of Drive Like Jehu. Their music combined post-hardcore intensity with garage rock and punk elements, featuring angular, interlocking guitar parts, propulsive rhythms, and Froberg's raw, shouted vocals. They were known for concise, high-energy songs and a lean, urgent sound that balanced noisy textures with tight arrangements.
