Haircut One Hundred

Haircut One Hundred were a British band formed in 1980 and active until 1984, fronted by singer-songwriter Nick Heyward. Their sound combined new wave and pop with jazz-funk and soul influences, featuring bright, melodic guitar lines, tight rhythmic bass and drums, and prominent brass and woodwind accents within polished, upbeat arrangements. They are associated with the early 1980s UK post-punk pop scene and are known for a breezy, danceable approach that contrasted with some darker contemporary styles.
