Germs

The Germs were an American punk band formed in Los Angeles in 1976, known for a raw, aggressive sound and confrontational live performances. Led by singer Darby Crash with guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Lorna Doom and drummer Don Bolles, the group played a formative role in the early Los Angeles punk scene with short, intense songs, abrasive guitar work and a theatrical stage presence. Their music favored speed, noise and stripped-down arrangements, and the band is frequently mentioned in accounts of West Coast punk.
