Gary Burton

Gary Burton is an American jazz vibraphonist known for his four-mallet technique and for expanding the vibraphone's role in modern jazz. His playing blends post-bop and jazz fusion with touches of folk and country influence, often marked by lyrical phrasing, contrapuntal lines, and a clear, bell-like tone. He has led ensembles, worked with a range of improvisers, and served as an educator at the Berklee College of Music.
